The Kia Sorento received a minor facelift for the 2013 model. The Sorento is a road-going crossover SUV with seating for five or optionally seven, four-wheel independent suspension. The available engine for the GCC is a 3.5-litre V6 with a 6-speed automatic and all-wheel-drive, and a 2.4-litre 4-cylinder joined later, with a 6-speed automatic and a choice of front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive. The interior is available in four colours, with cloth or leather upholstery. The new Sorento CUV can be equipped with a 6-speaker or 8-speaker audio system with MP3, USB and iPod connectivity, plus a built-in or external amplifier. Depending on model, available tech features on higher models include hands-free keyless entry and engine start button, in-mirror reversing camera, navigation, automatic a/c, xenon headlamps, LED indicators on the mirrors, seat cooler and warmer in the front, fold-flat 3rd-row seat and a panoramic glass sunroof. Lower models get 17-inch alloy wheels while higher trims get 18-inch or 19-inch ones, and all get standard four-wheel disc brakes. The Sorento is also available with features such as standard ABS with electronic brake-force distribution, and optional stability control, while passive safety is limited to a stiffened structure and two front airbags, with side and curtain airbags only on the top model. You will be charged AED 5upon crossing every salik (toll) gate. You will be billed at the end of your rental duration. The salik amount may be deducted from your security deposit or you can pay for it separately.

As per RTA, all rental cars in the UAE are provided with comprehensive insurance (a.k.a. basic insurance). This means that by default, you are covered incase of an accidental damage provided it isn't your fault. A police report must be obtained at the time of an accident. Your rental amount includes basic coverage. Most car rental companies provide CDW (collision damage waiver) for an additional charge. This covers you for any accidental damage by your own fault as well. However, a valid police report is still required for coverage.
